Baily Garner acted as Independent Certifier for Linkcity on the new £60 million Hounslow Civic Centre, which forms part of a larger £410m development providing 919 new homes.
A Modern Touch
The new civic offices are designed to be both modern and flexible, allowing more efficient ways of working. As well as new office facilities for the Council, the new building also incorporates shared offices for local police and health services, civic meeting rooms, a “state-of-the-art” library on the first floor, exhibition space and a café.
The new distinctive civic building was built on the site of a former car park in Bath Road in Hounslow town centre, while the old civic centre site is home to the new residential development. The 16,000 m2, 4 floor centre currently holds 850 staff in its office space as well as being a stunning and welcoming hub for the local community of Hounslow.
