New build residential development of 60 units at Golf Links Estate, forming part of a major estate regeneration scheme for Ealing Council. Following demolition of three existing blocks in very poor structural condition, the new development of 60 affordable rent and shared ownership homes provides 26 houses and 34 flats, designed to achieve Code Level 4.
Baily Garner were appointed as Employer’s Agent for the £9.9 million project, instigating a Contractor selection process, leading to decontamination and site remediation works commencing in April 2013. Our Building Services and Environmental Team’s design input, in support of the planning application, included an overall energy strategy, performance specifications and indicative design solutions (up to RIBA Stage D+) to ensure the Contractor’s design met Client needs.
An NEC Form of Contract was selected for the project, enabling close control of programming and an ability to deal collaboratively with the complexity of infrastructure works taking place in multiple phases and to manage delays pragmatically.
