Baily Garner acted as Employer’s Agent from inception to completion, including assisting Peabody in the selection of the Design Team through a 150th Anniversary Design Competition, co-ordination of the Planning Design Team, cost planning advice, procurement of the Contractor and management of the Contractor once on site. The development has a very high quality design intent which has been delivered in keeping with the original objectives, with a quality landscaping scheme to match and an overall cost per m² of £2,941m² net, including golden brick costs and sales values ranging from £1,000 per sq ft to £1200 per sq ft.
In 2017 Upton Village (Plaistow Hospital) won Housing Innovation Awards 'Most Innovative Affordable Housing Scheme’ and the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 'Best Development Affordable Homes Sector'.
