Baily Garner acted as Client Representative and Cost Consultants for Herefordshire Housing, managing an exercise to select their development partner Keepmoat Homes, along with BM3 Architecture. Regeneration of the existing estate of 220 properties will deliver 255 new homes at The Oval, half will be affordable rent properties for Hereford Homes and the remainder sold by Keepmoat Homes on the open market, providing a mix of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses.
The scheme also includes refurbishment of 10 retail units, an area of open public space and provision of a new community hub providing training, advice, counselling, PCT front line services and lunch clubs. Works commenced in summer 2013, following a phased programme over a four year period.
Nominated by Hereford Housing, The Oval is one of 8 Finalists for “Regeneration Scheme of the Year” in the Inside Housing Top 60 Development Awards 2016.
