Claudian Way is a key strategic development in Thurrock Council’s housing programme, aiming to develop a high quality, financially viable scheme for Chadwell St Mary. With HCA funding secured for 42 units and additional units funded by the Council, Baily Garner have been appointed to develop the open space at the junction of Claudian Way and Brentwood Road to provide low cost, high quality housing.
The proposal comprises 53 units arranged around a new focal point on this under utilised open space, with a mixture of units responding to the differing needs of the community to include 1 and 2 bedroom bungalows, 1 and 2 bedroom flats and larger 3 bedroom family houses. All units will comply fully with LHDG and the layout ensures all homes benefit from high levels of natural daylight and a good outlook. Each flat enjoys a private balcony and houses have private gardens. Parking has been integrated throughout the development in the form of on plot parking or in small landscaped clusters.
With Planning Approval granted in April 2017 the scheme can now progress towards a start on site.
