Aldgate Place, located a stone’s throw from the City of London, will deliver a vibrant new high rise, high density urban hub with 463 new homes, a 160 room 4 star hotel, underground parking and landscaped gardens, a gym, cafes/restaurants and shops, within six buildings from 6 to 25 storeys high.
Baily Garner were appointed as Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultants under the Development Agreement for 150 shared ownership and affordable rent apartments within the larger mixed use development. The mixed tenure 1/2/3 bedroomed homes will provide 105 units for rent and 45 for shared ownership (14 units wheelchair adaptable), with typical values £1,000-£1,200 per sq. ft.
Handover of this £30 million element of redevelopment is anticipated between October 2016 and May 2017, the first phase to be released will include 21 shared ownership apartments, with private balconies or winter gardens, within Block G.
