Following previous involvement with Poplar HARCA on large estate regeneration within Tower Hamlets, Baily Garner were appointed as a multi-disciplinary consultancy for a programme of high quality environmental proposals across Devons, Lansbury and Aberfeldy Estates. Our proposals included the Client's key areas for improvement and the needs of each estate established through numerous resident consultations, with all relevant HARCA teams regularly consulted on proposals, particularly regarding the use of green screens and lace art fencing on Devons Estate. Baily Garner’s Quantity Surveyors provided cost updates throughout the scheme enabling our Client's key design features to be retained and also assisting in prioritising work.
Devon Estate main environmental works involved large scale changes including new road/parking layouts, new public green with a play area and water feature, installation of a URS system, improved street lighting and new border designs. As Lansbury Estate was crossed by public highways and no amendments could be made to the existing road layouts, works concentrated on boundary treatment/signage and upgrading key public areas, including a new bespoke sports area and extensive play area. Aberfeldy's works included new urban squares between blocks of flats, new lighting, paving and boundary strategies.
