The Coventry Cross Regeneration scheme is located on a prominent site in Tower Hamlets. As part of the offer document used in the transfer of the Estate, internal, external and environmental refurbishments were proposed and we worked closely with Poplar HARCA to put together a proposal which responded to residents’ concerns and aimed to exceed expectations. Key to the success of the proposed regeneration was the aesthetic improvement of the existing estate, to include environmental works.
Regular consultations were held with residents to ensure both client and resident aspirations were met. Alongside this detailed design meetings were conducted with the client to ensure appropriate materials were selected and the budget was managed effectively throughout the process. The design also incorporated SAP modelling to analyse the performance of existing buildings and identify ways in which the proposed specification should be adjusted to improve energy performance. The energy use of model properties are being monitored to determine predicted vs actual performance.
