The Capital Works Programme at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was a four year Framework Agreement. The works were mainly refurbishment/extensions and ranged in value from £100K - £8M. The variety of projects included boiler plant renewal, theatre upgrades, ward refurbishments, endoscopy suite, pathology laboratory, staff lockers, HIV centre, physiotherapy and mammography. Our Quantity Surveyors provide detailed cost advice to support the business case process from the outset and our cost modelling was tailored to suit the Trust's specific requirements. We also introduced risk management techniques, promoting early identification of risk and agreed mitigation strategies.
We managed Project Delivery Programmes and ensured adherence to the Trust's Cost and Change Control procedures. We worked closely and collaboratively with a variety of clinician groups and this enabled us to develop a clear understanding of how their service functions and the impact the proposed works may have.
